Be Age-less. The Key to Aging Gracefully
I recently had a birthday. So, I’ve been thinking more about age.
I grew up in a family that didn’t talk much about age or aging. My grandmother would joke when someone asked about her age…”it’s none of their business”. But really, she probably wasn’t joking!
I think what she was getting at is: does knowing someone’s age make you think about them differently? Maybe! Especially in a media driven, constantly “on” culture where young has often meant better, it can be difficult.
But I have other thoughts than what we see in the media. And I’ve found inspiration in many women around the globe who talk positively about aging - and living well. There are many who can inspire us! So, please find women who are aging well - healthy, vibrant, full of energy and positivity - and let them encourage and expand you. To me, age is a state of mind as well as body.
I believe: if your mind and body are active, flexible, in movement and open to learning and growing; then you are “young”.
If your mind and body are stiff, rigid and inflexible and closed-off, I would argue you are aging. Joseph Pilates said it directly about the spine: “A man is as young as his spinal column.”

Changing our perspective on aging starts in each of us. I want women to stay vibrant and healthy so they can be an inspiration to others. Deciding and actively making your health and overall wellbeing a priority is not only a gift to yourself, it is a gift to your family, friends, co-workers, and others you may know or come into contact with. As they saying goes - you cannot give from an empty cup. Women in all walks of life do so much in our global society - in families, friendship, at work, volunteering, changing the world! To do all this, we must take care of ourselves
We all have the potential to be a daily inspiration to others. If you prioritize your own “self care”, you can shine onto your part of the world your vibrancy, fun loving nature, your smile, warmth and joy! Just imagine how that can increase to grow your own brilliance and the light in others more strongly.
Because everything is better when we team up — let’s stay age-less together. By thinking less about age and more about our way of moving our bodies, keeping our minds fresh and focus on our overall wellbeing. One way is - by doing fun stuff! Whatever lights you up! Moving my body, calming my mind, and daily health-focused rituals along with learning new stuff has kept me feeling great in my 40s and now as I’ve crossed into 50
I love to be inspired by new ideas! Please share me below what helps you feel ageless. Or if you’re struggling with this, let me know. I would love to try and help.
