Be A Rebel
In this age of information and intellect, your big rebellious act is connecting to your body’s power and wisdom for answers, solutions and healing.
Our body has amazing self-healing capabilities. But we’ve been conditioned to believe that’s not true. There’s a pill or an expert for everything; telling you there’s only one way.
That’s just plain wrong. And there’s evidence of that falsehood for every ailment.
Our body has amazing self-healing capabilities. But we’ve been conditioned to believe that’s not true. We’re told that our body is just a type of mechanical system that needs something to fix it. You are neither broken nor need fixing!
You need tools, resources, trusted partners and guides that support you to connect back to your voice and knowledge within. Our biggest quantum leap is quieting the outer and inner stress, worry and tension. Make a new habit of finding stillness of your mind-body. This begins the process of self-healing. The start of your magic.
None of us need new ways to distract, compare ourselves or increase stress. These are taking us further away from getting to know our own body. Once you begin this conversation with your body - as the beautiful, unique and bio-individual that you are - awareness will grow. You will notice your voice from within. It’s quiet, so fostering nervous system calming techniques is important.
My intuition is ‘emotional’. So, for me, connecting to how I’m feeling and allowing myself to feel the emotion is important. It’s like a wave.
I’ve learned distraction and hyper-focusing on what I “Should Do”, is a sure-fire way to disconnect from my intuition.
Your intuition may be different than mine. Learning what’s true for you is the first step. And then process of embodying actions that support instead of deplete your body and inner wisdom is where we all start (and continue daily).
Using the metaphor of a garden within our bodies.. Our physical body and energetic body will flourish when we:
1. Weed out what’s no longer working. What we’re allergic to, sensitive to, what makes us feel like crap. This could be food, toxic relationships, un-fulfilling career/work, lack of sleep.
2. Seed something new, something more aligned to your true essence. Whole foods instead of processed food. Learning boundaries in relationships, starting a passion project, finding a hobby that brings you joy, prioritizing rest, move your body in less depleting ways (exercise should bring a feeling of lightness and joy not depletion and agony), learning what expands your energy.
You deserve to have ease, flexibility, joy, playfulness, rest, passion along with the strength of your body. These are not mutually exclusive.
3. REPEAT. Tend to your garden regularly.
eat foods that nourish you and support you feel calm energy and lightness.
Move your body with joy and ease. You can be physically strong without over-stressing and over-exertion.
Release blocks in your physical and energetic body. Energy gets trapped in our bodies in un-helpful ways. Release this through Reiki and Pilates. This will lead you to deeper self- awareness and stress release.
All of this then leads to healing - from within you!
