Stop Torturing Yourself

Stop torturing yourself with your -

  • to-do list

  • over-thinking

  • worry

  • negative thoughts

  • Frustration

  • Depletion of energy

  • {fill in the blank of what’s no longer serving YOU}

These things will never lead you to joy, freedom, peace, satisfaction, happiness.

How do I know?

I’ve tried. (LOL!)

I grew up in an environment of worry, under-lying stress and nervousness. I was taught that if you worry and the “bad” thing you were worried about doesn’t happen, then the worry was worth it.  It was “right” or correct to worry.  Maybe you can relate?

It has taken me a long time and I continue to rewire this pattern.  This pattern re-appears many times, especially if I’m trying to break out of my current comfort zone to something new, bigger,  and/or more aligned to my authentic self.   Just this week for example!

When it re-appears it feels familiar.  Like I’m “supposed to worry”.  Life is “worrisome”.  That “normal people” worry.

But just like you can drive easier when fog lifts from the road, I feel my own fog of “I’m supposed to worry” is lifted in a new way.  I know that healing is not linear (as much as I wish it was!) so I know that worry will come back. I’m not yet friends with worry. But I am learning to appreciate worry as a big sign saying something like - “Hey, Diana! I’m here because something new is happening for you. Something that’s not familiar.  Heads up!”

So my new response I’m working on is  “Thank you!   I’m alert now. And I’m going to choose to calm my nervous system now”.

That’s where the tools of movement, nervous system reset (ex; Reiki, mindful breathing) and being aware of what I’m eating and how that food effects me is EVERYTHING.

The most effective tools I’ve learned (and I’ve experimented with many) are Pilates, Reiki and eating foods that that make me feel vibrant instead of icky.

Connecting to your body through your physical body, digestive system and your energy body is the short cut to feeling vibrant.  After all, don’t we all really crave shining brightly…. Even when we don’t admit it.  (Think about it and let me know…)

I’ve learned that worry and negative thinking are never going to bring me to joy and feeling good. But you can change this pattern because it lives in your body. And I’ll show you how to re-connect with your body and begin to listen to her in new ways.

My hope is to support you in shining brightly as YOU.  Curious about anything you’ve read? Set up a call to chat, I’d love to see where I could support you.
