Why Romana's Pilates is Different
It’s no secret: I have a passion for Pilates.
I believe this method is the most effective way to improve your strength, flexibility, posture and patterns of movement.
Pilates is named after its creator, Joseph Pilates. He called the method, Contrology. This method focuses on bringing balance back into the body though a series of exercises on a mat or on a variety of apparatus.
Whether you are stiff and tight from a lot of sitting, looking to improve your posture or want to cross-train; Pilates provides you with a program to achieve maximum benefit for your goals.
I teach the method Joseph Pilates passed down to his protege, Romana Kryzanowska. Romana’s Pilates maintains high integrity to the original method. Exercises should be performed in a flow and with precision for optimal benefit.
“Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit.”
~ Joseph Pilates
This method of stretching, strengthening, and controlling your body with your mind will leave you feeling stronger and more flexible. You’ll do all of life’s activities with more ease and strength.
Progress, not perfection, is the key.
Romana’s Pilates focuses on improving your posture, strengthening and lengthening your muscles and bringing your body and mind in balance. We focus on moving from your “Powerhouse” - that is your abdominals, upper back, buttocks and inner thigh muscles. We work your whole body.
I’m committed to continuing my own education and deepening my knowledge of Pilates as my passion. I teach and mentor with internationally renowned teacher trainers. And I love sharing this method with you.
